ABC7 PARTNERS WITH LA56 TO AIR A NEW, LIVE, NIGHTLY
PRIMETIME EDITION OF EYEWITNESS NEWS

Los Angeles (November 21, 2013) – ABC7 Los Angeles (KABC-TV) is proud to announce a partnership with LA56 (KDOC-TV) to bring an additional hour of news to viewers across Southern California seven days a week.  ABC7 Eyewitness News, the #1 rated local news in the Los Angeles market, will broadcast a live one hour newscast on LA56 seven days a week at 8 p.m. starting in January.

“As the news leader in Southern California, ABC7 Eyewitness News is glad to have an additional opportunity to provide viewers the news and weather information they need,” said ABC7 President and General Manager Arnold J. Kleiner.

“One of our goals at LA56 has always been to air a primetime newscast; and, now, we have a partnership with the number one news station in the LA market.  We could not be more excited to work with ABC7,”said LA56 President and General Manager John Manzi. LA56 will also re-broadcast Eyewitness News at 11 p.m., Southern California’s top-rated newscast, seven days a week at midnight starting in January. ABC7 (KABC-TV) is the #1 rated television station in the Los Angeles area and the home of ABC7 Eyewitness News, the most watched local news coverage in L.A. with 46 hours of news each week.  KABC-TV is also the west coast flagship of the ABC television network.

LA56 (KDOC-TV) is an independent station providing Southern California viewers with great entertainment such as Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Law and Order: SVU, Community, the Cleveland Show, and American Dad.  LA56 is the local broadcast home of the Anaheim Ducks (NHL) and Chivas USA (MLS), as well as SEC College Football and Big 12 College Basketball.  LA56 is the flagship station of Ellis Communications and is managed by Titan Broadcast Management.
