Cheers centers around a former Red Sox pitcher turned pub owner & bartender, Sam Malone, his nutty employees and the wacky patrons who frequent his bar. They serve up a lot of laughs when the regulars belly on up to the bar to talk about their problems, make fun of each other, or just be there when their friends need them. Hanging out with them in that place “where everybody knows your name.”

DID YOU KNOW
Cheers was originally supposed to be set in a hotel in Barstow, CA and Sam Malone was to have been an ex-football player.
The exterior of Cheers was fashioned after the Bull & Finch Pub in Boston. Producer Glen Charles paid the owner $1 to photograph the bar- he’s now a millionaire from selling Cheers merchandise.
